Imagine
being only eleven years old, and living by yourself. It’s pretty hard
to imagine right? But Aubrey Priestly lives that life, and she intends
to keep it a secret. The setting is a suburban town in Virginia.
Aubrey’s dad and sister just died in a car accident, but if that was the
least of her worries, Aubrey’s mom runs away leaving Aubrey to live all
by herself. When Aubrey’s grandmother gets worried because she
hasn’t been answering her calls, she shows up at her door, and takes
Aubrey to her house in Vermont where she cares for her. Throughout the
book, Aubrey faces many challenges including trying to find her mom, and
adjusting to her new school in Vermont while meeting a new friend along
the way. She also learns how to deal with her loss, and abandonment. And In
the end, Aubrey must make one of the biggest decisions of her life.I would reccomend this book to someone of a middle school age looking for a fun, easy read.
There Isn’t much action or drama in this book, but in my opinion, I
think it’s deffinetely worth a try. The author wrote
each of the characters with a strong, unique personality. That made the characters, and events seem very
realistic. Reading this book you will most likely make you feel sad, but
it’s still an inspiring book about forgivness, healing, and loss. But
overall, the process of finding happiness within a tradgedy. A Review By: Ruby R.

This book sounds really interesting. I couldn't live all by my self like Aubrey. Your hook was good too. I really want to find out what her big decisions are.
