Imagine a living in a town when going outside and looking out a window could get you in trouble. For the protagonist Luke this is reality. The story take place in a town where sources of food are scarce and only two kids per household are allowed. Luke is a third child. If he is seen the population police will take him away from his home.
After his parents leave for work Luke looks out a vent from his windowless room in the attic. Looking at the new house next door Luke sees a girl his age. Luke quickly realizes this house already has two teenage boys living there. Is this another third child? Will Luke ever breakout of his prison of a home? Find out in the thrilling story written by Margaret Peterson Haddix.
In my opinion i loved this book. It was a great book that played with your emotions. It showed how all the characters played a special role. The book was exiting with a surprise around every corner. I recommend this book for people who like adventure with many surprising spins on the plot. With a great ending this is by far one of my favorite books.
