his dad’s attention while playing baseball. Will he ever overcome his
struggle or will another player stand in his way.
Keith,
who is the main character in this story is a teenage baseball player
who spends most of his time on his bike on the hot streets of Florida,
when he’s not doing that he is trying to succeed on the baseball field.
Keith is hoping that one day his father will acknowledge his baseball
skills. For example, one day Keith’s dad didn’t show up to his really
important baseball game. Keith was wondering to himself after the game, why
doesn’t he like watching me play baseball is it because I’m not good?
I
liked this story because Keith’s team we’re the underdogs of the
baseball league, each game was a struggle but their hard work paid off.
I can really connect with the entire team aspect of this story. Like
many teams I’ve been on we have to work very hard to defeat the stronger
teams. I can easily relate to this book because it’s all about being a
part of a team, and working hard together. There is no “I” in team and
when the whole team pulls together and works hard, the outcome is
greater.

Great job Timmy. I have read this book before also, but I sort of forget what happens. What team does he play for? Are there any other important characters in the book? Why isn't his dad coming to Keith's games?
