It all began with a life changing explosion at the British Museum......
Fourteen
year old Carter Kane & twelve year old Sadie Kane are siblings that
grown up apart since their mother’s mysterious death. Carter travels
the world with his dad, Sadie lives in London with her grandparents. One
day, Dr. Julius Kane, their father. who is a Egyptologist, takes them
to the British Museum. Ending with the destruction of the Rosetta Stone
& disappearance of their father.... Carter & Sadie, who are
determined to find & rescue their father, learn that Dr. Kane has
released five Egyptian gods, including Set, The dangerous & vengeful
god of chaos. They discover the truth about their family, & gain
abilities they never imagined.
This book was action filled & thrilling, while still being
informative about ancient Egypt. The text was a transition of an audio
recording made by Carter & Sadie, so it was a first person narrative
switch off. With occasional sibling fights , Carter & Sadie work
together to tell the story in a understandable way. The Red Pyramid was a great book & i recommend it to young adults.
