My favorite book is The Cupid Chronicles by Coleen Paratore. This book is about thirteen-year-old Willa Havisham, and her mission to save the library in her hometown of Bramble,Cape Cod. Bramble is losing its funds and can't afford to keep the library running.Willa can't stand to see the library shut down and sets up many fund raisers to keep the library running. And she ends up raising over 40,000 dollars and saves the library.Willa also wonders about her crush Joey Kenelly, and if Cupid really does exist.
I like this book because the setting is in Cape Cod. And Cape Cod is one of my favorite places in the world. Also the protagonist is my age so I can relate to her. The Cupid Chronicles makes me think about what I could do for less fortunate people, and how I can help them.
