'Please Stop Laughing At Me" By Jodue Blanco
Based upon a true story of one students endless days of being bullied by her peers. Starting from fifth grade Jodue was insulted numerous times by her classmates and physically abused being kicked, hit, spit on and her clothes taken off and grounded into the dirt and mud.
Jodue just wanted to be popular. A straight A student always trying to please her teachers and friends. She also didnt like to disobey rules. It was fifith grade and Jodue was invited to a slumber party at her friends house she was excited until they started playing spin the bottle and strip poker and her friends started taking off their clothes. Jodue felt uncomfortable and thinking she was doing the right thing she called her mom, who told her friends mom what they were doing. The abusing got worse and Jodues parents thought psychological help for her but she thought it was a waste of time, so she changed schools and even still people knew who she was and they continued to harass and beat her up.
Why I like this book so much is because Jodue goes through her whole life being bullied so as I read about that I can learn what it feels like to be physically and mentally abused, so then I wont do that to others because then they would feel like Jodue. That is why I like this book so much.
