526 pages *****
This book is about a boy named Hugo Cabret. He lives in a train station with his uncle after his dad died. His uncle disappears and he is left with his uncle’s job, the stuff in their room and automata his dad found in a museum. Now Hugo is trying to put it back together with the parts from toys in the toy stall at the train station. When he, finishes a secret is revealed that reveals more secrets.
I would most like to be friends with Hugo. I would most like to be friends with him because he is smart, good with clock woks and could probably teach me some stuff about it. He also is determined to get things done so he would be a good person to do things with.
I really liked the book. I liked how it wasn’t all words that there were pictures that made it easier to read it and made it more enjoyable. I also liked the characters in it they were actually really interesting. I also liked it because it kept making me want to read it was so good.
I would say it was just right. It wasn’t too hard but I was still able to fly through it. That is The Invention of Hugo Cabret for ya.
