Andy Zadinski, 15, one of the many main characters receives a phone call from a mysterious "Zeke". (Zeke claims to have killed a young woman named Nina Klemmer and describers her to Andy.) Andy thought it was a joke him-self until he found someone that goes to the college Andys dad teaches at. Her name is Nina Klemmer and was described perfectly by Zeke. Andy assumes since Nina is not dead that Nina is Zekes intended victim.Andy thinks that his father, Dr.Zadinski, works with the criminal behind the phone. Andy ponders about this for a couple of days about what he should do with the intended criminal. He comes up with a plan to see if he can make the him-self the victim of Zekes potential plan.
I liked this book a lot, because of the foreshadowing it gives at the beginning of the book. It says "'I just killed someone' says Zeke ' I don;t know what to do I'm standing over her body in the kitchem' 'What should I do?'" An unbelieved Andy who uses a fake name gets all the information he can out of Zeke before he tells his best friend Paul to call the police and to trace the call immediately. Ever since Andys mom died roughly a year before this incident he doesn't take death as a joke. If it was a prank call, Andy wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two,
This book made me think of the importance between life and death and the life you live in-between, and to always cherish life
life and how lucky you are in the way you live.
I think that you have done a great job in this review. This is the first time I have heard of this book and your review make me want to read it! I wounder why Zeke would call someone like Andy and say that he just killed someone? That's not the average prank call. I guess I will have to read the book to find out.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great review. The ending was the Cliffhanger for me. Life and death and life in between. I have never seen an ending like this.
