When shortstop Hutch is moved to second base on his team to make room for the more talented, but arrogant Darryl, he takes one for the team. But, when he sees his own father, who never seems to have any time for or intrest in him, coaching Darryl, he can't handle it, and endangers both of what's left of his relationship with his dad, and his team's chances in the championship.

I think that the main topic of this book is all about jealousy that not only is expresses by Hutch, but also by Darryl. It seems like whenever Hutch hit a home run or even when he was made the captain of the team, Darryl was jealous. I think that this taught me that in life, you arn't always going to get all of the glory.

In the end, I really enjoyed this book. I thought this book was exciting, suspenseful, and also action packed. I also found this book kind of shocking because when Hutch went to practice, and Darryl was already their practicing with his dad, I was kind of shocked.

I found this book to be at a perfect reading level for me
