PInk by Lili Wilkinson

Pink
by Lili Wilkinson
310 pages
*****

The book pink is about a girl who is goth and she wants to be really girlie. It is hard to be girlie in her house because her parents and girlfriend think that wearing pink and skirts that she is making herself an object. So she decides to change schools so she can be girlie and try out for the musical. When she doesn't get a part in the play she decides to join stage crew. She is trying to balance three worlds goth, girlie, and stage crew freak. She has to wait until she knows who she is.

If i had to pick anyone to be friends with i would pick the stage crew. i would pick them because they seem nice, and welcoming. Their not afraid to be themselves, and don't care what people think of them. Also the popular kids are to only worried about themselves, they want everyone to be the same, and if their different then their considered freaks.

I like this book because it always made you think she was going to chose one group of friends, i also like how she was included into three social group. I also like how it was suspenseful and always made me want to keep reading.
