One of my favorite books that I read this year was, Soul Surfer by, Bethany Hamilton. This book is about a 13 year old girl who was attacked by a 14 foot long shark on her day off from school for Halloween. (Bethany is home-schooled because she is in the making of becoming a professional surfer.) Bethany lives on the coast of Kauai beach in Hawaii, and has a passion for surfing. She wants to surf all day everyday of the year. Bethany has to learn to deal with only one arm, and doing daily task such as, putting on cloths, showering, and putting her hair up in a ponytail. I really enjoyed this book for numerous reasons. This book was written by Bethany Hamilton herself, so this book was written in a way that is easy to read, and very understandable. I also liked this book because I tried surfing myself, and it was very hard. I can't imagine how hard it is to surf with only one arm. This book is a quick easy read, and I really recommend it to others.
Good job this is a really good response and now I want to read this book.
