Do you like books that have action, excitement, and romance? Then you should read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. After winning the 74th Hunger Games with her friend Peeta Mellark, both of their families were moved to the Victor’s Village, a neighborhood of all the victors from that district. Katniss and Peeta are in trouble with the president of Panem, President Snow, on whether they truly love each other, or they did it just so that both of them could survive. President Snow announces what the Quarter Quell (a special Hunger Games that happens only every 25 years and each one has something special about it). What will happen to Katniss and Peeta? Will they die or survive?
I recommend this book for young adults who are looking for a good book to read, whether it’s for school, or just to read. Catching Fire makes me think about how important it is to stand up for yourself and to believe what you believe in.
