The book “don’t you dare read this Mrs.Dumprey” is a strong story that
makes you want to keep reading. Its about a girl with a difficult life,
and her teacher makes her class write journal entries , and if you don’t
want the teacher to read it you write the caption “don’t read this Mrs
Dumphrey”. The main character Tish writes about her hard life in the
journal and never lets the teacher read it. Until her life gets so
complicated she finally writes “read my whole journal” The teacher reads
it and helps her out.
This
book is very powerful, just the story draws me in. Its a great read and
i recommend it to others looking for a good middle school read. The theme of this story is to always ask for help when help is needed. She was dealing with something that no teenager could deal with and it was almost like you felt the characters happiness when she got help from her teacher. This is a great book!
