Gone by Michael Grant

“FAYZ. Spelled F-A-Y-Z. It stands for Fallout Ally Youth Zone. Fallout Ally, and nothing but kids.” A place without adults, no rules, no school, and all the junk food you can eat… until it runs out anyway. Sounds like a pretty good life to most kids. But for Sam Temple, living with all the strange happenings going on can be hard on for a fourteen-year-old boy. Mutations and fights for power are something to be scared of, and Sam does his best to stop it.

This book reminds me of how lucky we are to have our parents because everyone in the FAYZ loses their parents and will probably never see them again. Each page is filled with excitement, adventure, and tension. It shows how much responsibility these kids have on their shoulders with their parents gone so vividly.

  1. I read that book too. It was good book and I think you did a good job. I thought it was nice to add how you feel about how it connects to our lives.
